Amor disparado por un virus / Love triggered by a virus

Alíviate pronto
que siento el impulso
de meterte a mi cama
acariciar tu frente
tomarte la temperatura
y sentarme a tu lado para verte moquear

tus ojos rojos
hacen esta ternura irresistible
alíviate pronto
que tanto pañuelo desechable
es difícil de ignorar
y estoy a punto
de hacerte un té
acariciar tu mano
y besarte

alíviate pronto
que ya no aguanto
y en cualquier momento
acariciaré tu espalda
te abrazaré
y te besaré

no estornudes más
no tosas no tiembles
alíviate pronto
que este virus no puede ser.

Get better soon
that I am feeling the impulse
to get you in bed
caressing your forehead
taking your temperature
and sit by your side to watch your runny nose

your red eyes
make this love irresistible
get better soon
that so many tissues
are difficult to ignore
and I am about
to make a tea for you
caress your hand
and kiss you

get better soon
that I cannot help it anymore
and at any moment
will caress your back
will hug you
and will kiss you

don’t sneeze any more
don’t cough don’t tremble
get better soon
that this virus cannot be.

Estás en estas manos / You are in these hands

Estás en estas manos
cuando encuentro una pluma
cuando encuentro un papel
cuando el sentimiento me acorrala
y escribiendo trato de encontrarte

Estás entre mis dedos
cuando pienso en tu pelo
y cuando creo que tus dedos
pueden estar entre los míos

Estás en mis ojos
cuando de lejos creo verte
cuando la vista se me nubla
y un nudo en la garganta
me recuerda tu ausencia

Estás en mi tristeza
cuando tu ausencia ocupa el espacio
de todas mis nostalgias.
Imagen de James Van Fossan.
You are in these hands
when I find a pen
when I find a piece of paper
when the feeling corners me
and writing I try to find you

You are in these fingers
when I think about your hair
and when I believe that our fingers
could be intertwined

You are in my eyes
when I see you from afar
when I get a clouded sight
and a knot in my throat
remembers me your absence

You are in my sadness
when your absence fills the place
of all my nostalgias.

Nosotros somos aquellos / We are those

Nosotros somos aquellos
que se leyeron el alma
leyéndose por años
somos los que se acariciaron sin verse
los que se presintieron
somos los que se pensaron
los que se extrañaron
somos aquellos
que se descubrieron desnudando letras
los que se esperaron
aquellos que el azar arrastró

somos los rehenes
de un espacio inexistente
los que se conocieron
en un cielo inventado
los que construyeron
el día con la noche
los que se dieron
olas, noches, estrellas, días
somos los que se desnudaron lentamente
los que anduvieron juntos
caminando separados

nosotros somos aquellos

nosotros somos aquellos
aquellos que fueron ejemplo
los que enseñaron a otros
somos los que por fín un día
se encontraron  se vieron
se tocaron  se besaron
se escucharon  se abrazaron

pero también somos aquellos
a los que el viento celoso separó
con una cortina de silencio
nosotros somos aquellos
que fueron atrapados por el miedo
por la inercia
por esa fuerza centrífuga
que convierte en polvo la magia
somos los que olvidaron leerse
los que olvidaron llamarse
los que olvidaron reconstruirse
y perdonarse no ser quimeras
nosotros fuimos aquellos.

We are those
who read each other’s souls
reading each other for years
those who caressed each other without ever meeting
those who had the feeling of the other
we are those who thought about each other
that missed each other
we are those
who discovered each other through words
who waited for each other
we are those that chance surprised

we are the hostages
in an nonexistent place
those who met
in an invented sky
those who built
the day with the night
those who gave each other
waves, nights, stars, days
those who undressed slowly
those who were together
walking apart

we are those

we are those
those who were the model
those who taught others
we are those who finally met one day
those who met and saw each other
those who touched and kissed
those who listened and embraced

but we are also those
who were taken away by the jealous wind
who separated us with a curtain made of silence
we are those
who were trapped by fear
by inertia
that centrifugal force
that makes magic into dust
we are those who forget to read each other
who forget to call
who forget to built again
and forgive each other for not being chimeras
we were those.

No he de resignarme / I cannot resign myself

No he de resignarme
a pensar
que este barro
no tiene alas

a que uno no sabe
los extremos a los que se llega
cuando la esperanza
se ha perdido

a que el alma
se quedó enganchada
quién sabe dónde y por eso
no podemos recuperarla

a que la mordaza
nos congele el coraje
y la costumbre
nos entibie la rabia

no he de resignarme
a que las alas
abandonen
al barro.

I cannot resign myself
to think
that this mud
has no wings

to think that one never knows
to the extremes you get to
when hope
has been lost

to think that the soul
was left hanging
somewhere and that is why
you cannot recover it

to think that the gag
has frozen our courage
and that the habit
has milden our rage

I cannot resign myself
the wings
cannot abandon
the mud

Viajar es siempre alejarse / Travelling is always moving away

Viajar es siempre alejarse
alejarse de los gestos
las palabras las caricias
alejarse un poco de la vida
para acercarse a ella

en el camino
en las nuevas caras
en los trazos descubiertos
del mundo y de la vida
en la película continua
que pasa ante nuestros ojos
todo adquiere ritmo y cadencia
todo nos lleva de la mano
a ese lugar lejano

mientras
nuestra vida
cada pedazo de ella
va fundiéndose poco a poco
con la rápida película

tenemos tiempo
de rescatar viejos rencores
y de deshilar amores
y pasiones olvidadas
al fin encontramos el tiempo para abrazar
brillos de cotidianeidad
que se pierden día a día
como suaves murmullos

si miramos el bosque
el abismo del cielo
o al interminable mar
tomamos de pronto
el valor de descifrarnos
nos maldecimos nos lloramos
nos gritamos y nos hablamos bajito
y por fin nos reencontramos

volvemos de la mirada fija
a la tranquilidad
después del viaje interior
del tan postergado viaje

viajar es siempre acercarse.
Imagen de Martin Sojka.

Travelling is always moving away
moving away from gestures
words, caresses
moving away from life
to get closer to it

on the road
on the new faces
on the discovered strokes
of the world and life
in the continuous movie
that passes before our eyes
everything acquires its rhythm and cadence
everything takes us by the hand
to that faraway place

whilst
our life
each piece of it
it melts little by little
with the fast movie

we have time
to rescue ourselves from old grudges
to disentangle loves
and forgotten passions
at the end we find the time to embrace
the light hidden in the routine
that gets lost every day
like soft whispering

if we look at the forest
the abyss in the sky
or the neverending sea
we suddenly have
the courage to decipher
we swear and cry
we scream and whisper
as we find ourselves again

we come back from the quiet staring
to tranquility
after the inner voyage
after the so postponed voyage

travelling is always getting closer.

Quedarse así nomás / Just staying

Quedarse así nomás
sin importar lo que dice la geografía
quedarse en el olor a tortilla
en el sabor a maíz
en el olor a hierba
quedarse así nomás
contra el océano indecente
contra el mar obsceno
infatigable en su ir y venir ocioso
quedarse allá
a pesar del grito
que quiere llenar el espacio
quedarse en otro olor
en otra tierra
quedarse con todo y sentidos
a pesar de su labor quisquillosa
y puntual en nuevos vientos

quedarse así nomás.

Just staying
no matter what geography says
staying in the smell of tortilla
in the flavour of corn
in the smell of herb
just staying
against the indecent ocean
against the obscene sea
restless in its idle coming and going
staying over there
despite the scream
that wants to fill the space
staying in another smell
in another land
staying with all the senses
despite its picky and punctual
labor in new winds

just staying.

El cielo no estará más ahí / The sky will no longer be there

el cielo
es ahora la angustia
es el miedo es el espacio
a punto de ser cubierto
es la expectativa
la víspera del horror

el cielo no estará mas ahí
será la muerte que vuela
el horror que vuela
las nubes de humo
matándonos

y el cielo
no estará mas ahí

el cielo
será ayer
y los ojos con lágrimas
miraran nuestra muerte

el cielo
no estará mas ahí
y aún cuando nuestros ojos lo miren
miraran hacia otro lugar

nuestros ojos
miraran al corazón
a nuestros miedos y horrores
profundo en el alma
profundo en nosotros mismos

el cielo
no estará mas ahí
y por muchos años el cielo
nos hará llorar.
Imagen de Eckenheimer.
The sky will no longer be there
the sky
is now the anguish
is the fear is the space
about to be discovered
is the expectation
the horror’s eve

the sky will no longer be there
will be the flying dead
the flying terror
the clouds of smoke
killing us

and the sky
will no longer be there

the sky
will be yesterday
and the eyes with tears
will see our death

the sky
will no longer be there
and even if our eyes can see it
they will be looking somewhere else

our eyes
will look at our hearts
at our fears and horrors
deep into our souls
deep into ourselves

the sky
will no longer be there
and for many years the sky
will make us cry.

Me voy en la noche / Going away tonight

Me voy en la noche
tras de ti
a donde tus bosques y ríos
a ver tus estrellas
a grabarme la huella del paso que das
a rodearte bailando
a aprenderme tus ojos
a acariciar tu mano que escribe

a dormir a dormir

Me voy en la noche
muy lejos de aquí
a tus montañas
a tu amanecer y tu crepúsculo
a beberme tu lluvia
a tatuar el vapor de tus nubes
a recargar mi cabeza en tu hombro
y a atrapar con mis alas
lo que tu corazón libera

Me voy en la noche
a la tierra de nadie
me voy en la noche
para toda la vida
me voy en la noche
en la noche me voy.
 Going away tonight
behind you
to where your forests and rivers
to see your stars
to get the print of your footsteps
to surround you with my dance
to memorize your eyes
to caress your writing hand

to sleep to sleep

Going away tonight
very faraway from here
to your mountains
to see your dawn and your sunset
to drink your rainfall
to get tattooed the mist of your clouds
to lay my head on your shoulder
and to catch with my wings
whatever your heart may release

Going away tonight
to nobody’s land
going away tonight
for the rest of my life
going away tonight
tonight I am going away.

Grillo / Cricket

When you come bring me a cricket. I need a cricket to tell me about the sunshine joy and the humidity. A cricket that helps me through this neverending winter night. A
cricket that feeds my neotropical memories. Please, bring me a cricket. I need it.

Iré a dormir después / I will go to sleep later

iré a dormir después.
Imagen de Nuclear Seasons.
I will go to sleep later
after the word
the gesture
the wind

will sleep later
after feeling the warm body surrounding me

will sleep later
after the scream
after the song

will sleep
                 later

after running
after flying
after screaming for you
after having done it for me

will sleep
                later

not before the light is off
the thousand lights in the city
the lights in the sky behind the blue
not before the fable
the sand wind
the evil and god
after all this time
that I have left

will sleep
              later

and even when the stars are hanging
and they are a wall of mist

will sleep
             later

after my red river to the sea
after the metal breath
will sleep later
after the stars tell me about
the accelerating time
and the story
that starts over again

will sleep
              later

when the pendulum does not changes
after the silence
after my surrender before the angels

will sleep
             later

and I will have time
and without saying a word
across the sun´s sweet pathway
I will go to sleep later.
